Another poem I wrote (the end needs work yet) - "I like making poems I do!"

The Estate Agent

I got a raise and a new job title
A smart appearance at work now vital
A simple question I will try to circumvent
yes, you guessed it, an estate agent

Showing people round houses and land
Briefcase and notebook in hand
Will you offer the asking price?
If I shake your hand and be ever so nice

So you want a house with 2 bedroom
Well how bout this one with view over toon
At £75,000 this surely its a bargain
Now to fill your head with legal jargon

Paid for mileage and paid on commission
More money in the banks a welcome addition
Of now to have a Champagne lunch
Still selling houses in the credit crunch

Earned enough to buy house of my own
And buy one of them weird i-phones
"Its a spacious house, gas central heating
Lovely neighbours", Wait! this mans sweating

Went to see this lovely house
Spacious my behind, no room for a mouse
Gasses central heating kind of holocaust
Lies from the agent, my faith he has lost

So whats your perception on house selling kind
We dont tell lies, we dont mess with your mind
Dont be afraid to ask stupid questions and probe
After all your keeping us in our jobs.

With estate agents, I don't have a grouse,
They have worked their socks of selling my house.
Nothing but hard work and effort they've shown,
Could never have done it alone.
