why are my pansies dying???

I planted four tubs with summer pansies and alyssum and lobelia last month. Only the alyssum and lobelia are healthy and growing. The pansies have all wilted and died. Any idea why?? Thank you.

I find pansies in pots need plenty of water.
Also you must take off any dead heads every day, this will enhance growth.

If pansies there are like pansies here, they cannot take the heat. The hot spell you had probably went for them.

I planted pansies, bought from Homebase a few months ago, and they are thriving! I planted them in a bed against a west facing wall, under sycamore trees. At first they just sat there, looking quite sad, but suddenly came on in leaps and bounds.
