Oh dear, didn't get my chips today, stopped at about 1.30 coming back from Inverness and they were closed, they don't open on a Sunday, had to cook when we got in instead!
This thread made me think,
I love the chipper, but never (well rarely) have fish and chips.
Is it the chips, or the main, that makes a good chipper?

yeah, i would have 20 fish suppers if the shop was open while i was reading the orgs
Main?!:confused
Smoked sausage or a patty/pattie for me, sometimes polony.
I rarely have the fish, although I've gained a love for mushy peas since working offshore.
I haven't ordered chips on their own since high school, and that was only because I wanted to have enough for an eclair from reids........................

Give it a go - excellent fish and chips. And famous chip shop.
The first chip shop on the main road after you come off the ferry at Dover!! Think about it you can take dual carriageway, motorway and bye-passes all the way from Dover and the first town/village you go through is Golspie on the A9.
If you are a bit hungry when you get off at Dover, boot down for Golspie and a fish supper!
