I was wondering if anyone remembers or could be a descendant of Malcolm Brock (b 14 Dec 1858). His parents were William Brock and Christina Ross both from Thurso. As far as I know Malcolm was a "vintner" and "harbourmaster" at Wick. He died December 7, 1935 age 76 - so I imagine he would have been quite well known in the town. There is an account in the Caithness Courier in September 1930 of a flying boat landing in Thurso bay where Malcolm Brock (harbourmaster) is interviewed.
He was married to Mary Ann Sinclair Tait (b1861, d1909) and then to Mary Alexandrina Sutherland (born about 1862, d1886).
As far as I know Malcolm had 8 children: William Frederick Tait Brock (b1889), Malcolm St John Brock (1889-1890), Malcolm Jesse Brock (b1891), Peter John Brock (1893-1895), Maryann Sinclair Brock (b1894), Christina Ross Brock (b1895), Bella Brock (b1897) and Elizabeth Ross Brock (b1898). I do not know if any survived into adulthood.
He was a half brother of William Manson Brock, whose family line I am researching. Any information or memories would be great!

If I remember correctly it was my great grandfather that took over from a Malcolm Brock as harbour master in Thurso. I could be wrong but I do know the name. I think I might have some info on him, though not a lot!
