I am still trying to obtain information on my Scottish great grandfather William Sinclair Drever who passed 1916 aged 40 in South Africa. If the passing age date printed in the news paper is correct, then his birth date would be 1876. I need to find my rootr and find my lost kin. Please HELP!

If you go to the following web site you will find Drever births and marriages for Orkney and the UK. http://www.cursiter.com/ as transcribed from the Old Parish Registers which goes up to about 1854. The Orkney Family History Society has a message board at www.ofhs.co.uk where you can post a message. Drever is a common Orkney surname.
