That picture brings back a lot of memories. My grandad used to be a blacksmith. Where about was this picture taken. Its good to see

Horsegirl,this is the Smiddy at Harpsdale which is now the home of JGC Engineering.
From small acorns large Oaks do grow or something like that.Incase the boss happens to read this...I took this during my lunchbreak........Honest ;)
Man photos at work now, you really do have it bad. Atmosphere is a great way to put it wifie.

:)Hi I thought i recognised it. That was where my grandad spent many a long day. Thought the "BOSS" would of had it covered in crap by now. Never expected it to still look like that

NL as you've probably noticed i dont do indoor but thought this was worth a bash.
There is a skylight right above the anvil and a tiny window to the right,took a bit of trial and error till i got the light looking reasonable.
Horsegirl,the bellows still work,would be really cool to take a photo with the fire going.I think it would give of a lovely glow.

Brilliant. My grandad John Campbell and his son Willliam (father of Jock)worked here and I remember having a shot at pumping the bellows.
Brilliant MPH looks almost like a sculpture.
Nice shots MPH, excellent lighting.
