How do I prevent two tabs from opening at the same time when I open Firefox? Running latest version of Firefox and XP home.
Thanks in advance.

It does that for me but only when it was downloaded the latest version or updated any plug-ins for firefox.

If there is no more updates then it opens normally.

also if you go to tools ==> options and the main tab, there is an option in there under "startup" that says "show my windows and tabs from the last time", which if chosen will load the previous tabs you had open the last time you launched firefox. This will open more than one tab when you click on firefox.

If none of my 2 posts help you then maybe someone else on here can help.

I have it set as show my home page, which is google.
It opens up google in one tab and firefox update in the other tab.

does the same for me too. If you un-tick the plug ins you dont want to add to firefox then it should open normally with one tab.
