I built a pirate ship for Jack and Dan and Sophe to play in
With masts and rigging, anchor and a wee wheelhouse to stay in
A skull and crossbones flies above and cannons fill the hold
Where kids can learn to lead, be led, to be scared and be bold
But most of all to let imagination have a riot
I wish, as Grandad, I could only fit inside and try it
