Abdel Basset AL-Megrahi the man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing has always protested his innocence and his appeal case is currently being held this week, after listening to this case over the years and the evidence on the case i believe this man is innocent of this mass murder the police needed to find someone, even families of victims believe he is innocent just like i thought Barry George was innocent of the murder of Jill Dando and TC Campbell and Joe Steele were innocent of the ice cream wars big miscarriges of justice so it does happen, do any other orgers believe theres been a miscarrige of justice in this case

Difficult to answer. As far as I can remember British Intelligence didn't actually have any names in the frame so why did the Libyans put him forward as one of the suspects if he was innocent? We can only go by what was reported in the press and tv since we didn't have access to the all the evidence, and a jury found him guilty so we must accept that verdict. New evidence now casts that conviction in doubt but again, we don't have access to it so it's not for us to judge, unless one of us are asked to do jury duty.

I think there may have been a miscarriage of justice over Magrahi mind but only from anectdotal comments made by independent persons on his case rather from a look at at the evidence. I'll follow his case with interest though.

Megrahi may be innocent, it always seemed strange that his co-accused was deemed to be innocent. And with the Government determined to cover up 'evidence'. which Megrahi believes would clear him, serious doubts will always remain.

One man can't be responsible for Lockerbie. There are so many people behind the scenes and they've gotten away with it for 20 years. I think Megrahi was simply the fall guy.
