Hi I have just joined the forum and noticed your enquiry on Andrew Horne. I have an Andrew in my fanily tree, the date and place would tie up but I don't have definite certificates on him. I got his name on the death cert of George Horne who was my gt gt gt g/father. Andrew is the informant, described as son. I have info on his mother, grandparents, sisters and brothers but none on Andrew at the moment. Hope this may help, if you find out anything maybe you could let me know.

:roll: Hi, My Andrew Horne is the father of John Horne who married Jessie Keith Sinclair they are my Great Grandad & Granny, there is some descrepancy at the moment as to whether I have the right Andrew Horne, if you look at post from Robbain, he is related to my family and is going to check for me. Will let you know the outcome.

I have an Andrew Horne in my family born c 1825 married 1847 to Elizabeth Munro born c 1827.They had a family of 12.I have details on their son George and his family and their daughter Catherine and her family.Andrew Horne b 1890 was the only son of George and his wife Jane Macdonald and was killed in WW1. His name is on the War Memorial at Halkirk and likewise Kingussie.

Thank you for your reply, I am descended from John Born 1859 he is my Gt Grandad. What is your relationship with the family?

I am descended from Catherine b 1865. My husband is descended from George b 1851 so we have a double interest. If anyone can give me more details on the family of George I would be most grateful.I have some info on some of his family but not all.

I would be interested in the details you have on the family of George Horne. I wonder if it is the same Horne family as I am descended from. George had a son , Andrew and his name(as informant) is on the death certificate I have for George.
