Found this on another forum. Sincerely hope it's not true - there's lots of people in the highlands who depend upon receiving good money from HIE. :(

"William Roe, who is the chairman of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and of Skills Development Scotland, is also the chairman of Edinburgh-based company Rocket Science UK Ltd. He helped found the consultancy business in 2001.
The two quangos have handed out at least £200,000 to the firm, while HIE also approved £212,600 to another business that had Roe as a director."
