Caithness's coolest looking duck

This male mandarin duck has taken residence in my neighbour's pond. He must be the coolest looking duck in the county or even the country. They are native of the far East and are frequently featured in Oriental art and are regarded as a symbol of conjugal affection and fidelity.

Great shots -- these have to be the most stunning birds. The closeup shows all the different patterns in their feathers and their perfection makes them look fake.
