I am looking for the parents of Sarah charlotte Carter born 1781 but do not know where, it could be England/Scotland ? she married John Sinclair in Caithness in 1825 but died in London in 1866

In Scotland the parents names are on the death certificate, but I don't know if that is the case in England. I didn't find any record of her birth on GROS. Suggest to look at Sarah's death certificate.

Mar 1867 was quarter Jan Feb Mar so a Dec 1866 death could be registered then.

have you found her in any census.

if born c 1783 she was 40ish when married 1825 to John Sinclair - Stemster Caithness. !!! could she have married before. if John died 1842 as per familysearch they should be together 1841 census.
Any extra detail you can give would help eg children etc

English death certificates do not show parents' names unless the deceased was under age 16.

I have tried scotlandspeople 1841 census but think they moved to England before this as John Sinclair died 1844 in England but thank you all for your help
