Also Ad-Ware is good for Spy Ware :-

This is very good, I have installed it on a few laptops and use it once a month or so.

From their site - CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware! :)

Here are a couple of good freeware I use with Avast.
www.download.com/Ad-Aware-Anniversary-Edition/30 (http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-Anniversary-Edition/30)
www.SUPERAntiSpyware.com (http://www.SUPERAntiSpyware.com)

What one misses the other picks up. Free for personal use.

That first link is not AVG Free Kodiak - the correct site is free.avg.com (http://free.avg.com)

I'm not sure if your Ad-ware should not also be Lavasoft's Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoft.com/single/trialpay.php)!

The other ones I've regularly used are:-

Malwarebytes - www.malwarebytes.org (http://www.malwarebytes.org)

Spybot - www.safer-networking.org (http://www.safer-networking.org)

I use Avast for anti-virus, SuperAntiSpyware & Spybot: Search and Destroy and MalwareBytes for spyware detection, along with Comodo personal firewall for added peace of mind.

Also, SpywareBlaster for it's superb integration with IE and FireFox, blocking all sorts of nasty web-based spyware exploits.

As an addition, if you use Firefox, install the Adblock Plus add-on, to dismiss all those browser hi-jack buzzy-fly ads and all of those ads that take longer to load than the page you want to view does.

All of these are free, by the way. Google them.

I had a similar problem when I installed a router. I had to use my drivers installation disk that came with my Dell pc and installed the driver from that...hope this is of use.

I'd be surprised is Flash isn't on the disk in one of the subfolders? It seems a little silly to tell you that you can use the disk to setup your internet connection without an updated Flash, which you could update if the internet connection was working .... catch 22.

If it's not on the disk, can you plug yourself into the router (assuming it's working) via an ethernet cable and download flash and the drivers from there?

can you please tell us what pc this is?

typivally most lappy's have the driver for the wireless card and many others things on a folder in the c:drive.

you dont actually need to load anything from your broadband suppliers disc to make a wireless connection work, your issue seems to be missing drivers for the onboard [pc] wireless device .
