Looks like you had a lot of fun. Is that Highlands Unbridled? Jan used to work at the riding school I went to near Bonar Bridge before I moved to Caithness. Going by her website it looks like you were on Shamoo? That's a long way to fall if she's really 16'3!!!

yup and yup! *G* do you know we were cantering and never fell off.. it was when i was going down a little hill! shamoo wanted to go to the left, i wanted her to go to the right..when i puled the reigns to get her to turn, well i just kept going and ended up on the ground looking up... i was fine, but the saddle was sideways and getting back on was interesting! jan was worried id be scared to remount, but it was the thought of the bridge that had me terrified! *laughs* i had to climb atop a little bridge over a stream to remount and my legs were wobbly after 2 hours in the saddle, and the bridge was slippery! but up i went and was right back on her.
gawd, how fat does my face look (along with the rest of me!) i keep on saying... the hat is evil.. and i was wearing several layers including a rugby top, a puffy gillet and the winter coat!

I know I don't have any good photos of me on horseback - the hats just don't do much for me!! Plus you can look like a michelin man in winter when you have to be dressed for the weather!! Your legs must have been in agony after your ride - how long were you out for in total?

umm prob. just over two hours.
even with the snow it was a lovley day.
my legs were not to bad.. but my arm was really sore the next day.
prob. cause i landed on it though!
the only thing about my legs were they didnt want to work right later on.. and i was a bit bowlegged *grins* but thats par for the course im afraid!
i was really surprised about how warm my jodphurs kept me! i was toasty in them!
