Make sure you follow Geoff "The Loon" Hoon's advice and get some snow chains!!!

Geoff Hoon, the Transport Secretary, said that drivers facing a weekend of winter chaos that they were partly to blame for the disruption.

"Why has nobody got snow chains and why are you all whingeing about what the Government hasn't done?" he was quoted as saying at a Westminster lunch. "If you live in the Alps you have snow chains in the back of your car. So why have none of you intelligent, capable people got chains?"

We drove up from Inverness on Friday and it was very very scary!!! It has snowed more since then so to be honest I wouldn't even attempt it.

We were due to travel to Inverness today then on to Edinburgh tomorrow. Gave it a miss today, but have to attempt it tomorrow for early appointment at clinic at Western General on Tuesday morning. Consultant is overbooked for the next three months, so if we don`t get down it`s a long wait for the next appointment.

Any forecast for Monday and Tuesday Tuggs??
