printer problem

I had to get a new computer and couldn't find the installation disc for my Samsung CLP 300 so I went online and downloaded the drivers. My printer shows up on my machine but still won't work. When I turn on the printer it starts with an orange light (normal) then the green light comes on but only briefly and it goes to red. Do I need to download something else to make it work, am very confused now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds very much like the printer has a hardware problem.
