A quick walk at lunchtime today with a compact camera.
Very surprised to see the ice on the river.

Ihad to climb up an icy bank to take this, hanging on with one hand and leaning out to get the photo that I wanted. Had to fall about 3m to get down again.
I lightened the foreground, took the blackness out of some of the rocks, contrasted the sky and froze to death. Photo taken at -8C on the road towards Borgie.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I really appreciate it. My wife complained that I had spent tooo much of the Christmas holiday photographing and working on photos. She's right - I could have been relaying the kitchen floor:lol:.

I was rather hoping that people would like my frozen milk bottles. I'm stunned:eek: that this photo and Lairg in the frozen mist seem to have grabbed peoples attention. Stunned, but very happy.

Psy....I love your frozen milk bottles; reminds of the little bottles we used to get at primary school and how they froze in the winter time and we could pretend they were ice lolllies! Yes, I had a deprived child hood....

The photo with the icicles remind me of journeys to the west coast where they hang like curtains as there is so much water coming off the hills; beautiful.
