pumpkins?

I am sure this is the wrong time of year, but the children at our nursery wanted to plant the seeds from their halloween pumpkin. We now have 2 little pots with plants in about 2 - 3 inches high on our windowsill. What should we do with them, we thought they wouldn't grow yet? Or should we plant more in the spring and say nothing?

I don't know the first thing about growing pumpkins, but in your place I'd keep them warm and watered, and keep your fingers crossed.
I really hope they survive, and look forward to seeing your photos of the fully grown plants in a few months

The seeds we originally planted died off after we had to turn our heating off following a water leak. We tried again and planted seeds in the garden last May, the result can be seen in the Caithness Courier today. The children were delighted with their pumpkin, it weighed 26.5 lb! :D
