I would like to find out more about the descendants of Alexander HENDERSON & Catharine MCLEOD married 11 Mar 1825 Thurso parish.
They lived in Reay parish at Achybeg / Auchalone in the Shebster area.
Issue were:
Alexander 1827
Janet 1829 = Alexander MCKAY
Peter 1831-1896 = Margaret Donaldina BRUCE
William 1834
Donald 1834
Appears that Janet HENDERSON & Alexander MCKAY had issue:

Donald 1866 = Margaret (some issue: Alexander 1900, Donald 1901)
Appears that Peter HENDERSON & Margaret BRUCE had issue:

I feel that Catharine MCLEOD had a previous marriage to Peter SINCLAIR in 1820 who was a blacksmith at Forss and is buried at Crosskirk chapel. Catharine and Peter had one child Catharine SINCLAIR who will be the 19 year old Catharine SINCLAIR in 1841 census household of Catharine MCLEOD & Alexander HENDERSON.
Catharine SINCLAIR is my gg-grandmother. She married David SINCLAIR in 1846 (registered in both Thurso & Wick parishes) and they went to Australia in 1851. Their son Peter SINCLAIR married Annie MCDONALD at Swan Bay in 1876 and they went to New Zealand.
Catharine MCLEOD was living at Achnavast when she married Peter SINCLAIR in 1820 and was described as living at Achnavast when she married Alexander HENDERSON in 1825. Catharine was baptised 1795 at Halkirk parish to William MCLEOD & Janet HENDERSON and it appears she was at Achnavast because that's where her parents went. Achnavast is in Thurso parish not so far from the Shebster area which is in Reay parish. Catharine's death register etry describes her father William MCLEOD as a farmer.
Alexander MCKAY might have had a previous marriage to Sinclairina POLSON Reay parish 1835.
Alexander HENDERSON's parents according to hs death register entry were Alexander HENDERSON, Farmer, & Janet HENDERSON.
