contact any of the quarry people - Mackay at Skitten, they deal in aggregrate and say what you want the grit for as there are all sorts of size of grit

could be you want to use it to suppress weeds on a footpath
to stop you sliding in the ice
to fill potholes in a driveway
to add to soil to help drainage
many more uses and sizes available

phone a quarry or Hugh Mackays at Skitten they will be able to advise you what type and quantity you need.

Good Luck, I've tried for ages to get a pile of grit delivered to the top of our track where it meets the A99 and have so far got bloomin nowhere. [evil]
It gets quite bad on our track cos theres a slight incline just as it merges out and the ice can make it impossible to get out sometimes as we can't just make a dash for it cos we have to check for traffic.
Not only that but the stoopid snow ploughs don't lift their ploughs at this particular part and often buries us in snow!!!!

I've just emailed the council and Transerv yet again.
