Yes, a sad loss. I first saw him play with Georgie Fame and the Blueflames in the Flamingo Club in Soho in 1966. Great drummer.:(

There's only Billy Cox left now, sadly. Mitchell was a rare talent who complimented Hendrix's music so well, and so dynamically. It's a sin he wasn't heard of as much following Jim's death, but for me, the saddest thing was seeing him on Nevermind The Buzzcocks in the 'Who is the Real' section :(

Textbook guy. He was a great foil for Hendrix, a really inventive and exciting drummer. I think the first experience album has some truly fantastic playing on it.

Our man in Edinburgh is right, he warrants a bigger part in history than being on never mind the buzzcocks. Noel Redding too, who was apparently a top notch guitar player.
