A flock of about a dozen or so down at Burnside this morning.
Got half of them.

Super pic, MPH.
I've finally got the wee beauties visiting my garden! A group of three have been visiting my feeder on a daily basis - I'm so pleased, as they're pretty wee things!:D
I had a few visiting my bird table last winter, but haven't seen any this year yet. They are lovely wee things1

Seen them high up in the trees at the bottom of our garden but never seen them at the feeders, sadly.
Tried niger seed for months but no luck yet.
I always grow a couple of large thistles in the garden, they adore the seeds.
Like you have never managed to entice them to the feeders.
It's the niger they're going for out here - I started putting it out in the spring time, but until now it's only been the Green Finches (and, surprisingly, sparrows!) that have been taking it. I counted five Goldfinches a wee minute ago, so numbers are on the up :D.
Incidentally, I also have three little Coal Tits who have been going daft for pumpkin seeds this week. Tiny little birdies, with very little fear - they happily flit about the tree whilst I re-stock the feeders...
