Out this a.m trying out my new canon 75-300mm lens and managed to get a few at full zoom.I think they're Red Throated Divers in their winter plumage.Saw a total of 5,normally
see 2 or 3.

A sure sign that winter isn't far away...Long Tailed Ducks..only 2 drakes,last winter there was around 15-20 in the bay all winter.

Bit of a dull day but i thumped up the IS0 to 800 and the exposures were at 1/1250th sec to keep the camera shake to a minimum as these were hand held at full zoom,quite pleased with the results.
