View Full Version : Flank Steak recipies help

Was at the Farmers Market in Edinburgh , last Sat, saw a cut of meat we have not seen before, Flank Steaks, they looked good, cut into small cutlets, so we bought them, but I am not sure how to cook these, has anyone got any ideas?

How about marinating it ? olive oil, garlic, red wine vinegar, soy sauce honey and black pepper. Leave anything from 2 hrs to overnight.

Heat grill, score meat and season it. 4 to 6 mins either side then cover with foil and leave to rest for 10 mins. Make thin slices cut at slight diagonal. Any excess marinade can be boiled for a few minutes and served with meat. Plain boiled tatties and green beans yummy.

Many thanks connie19 I had not thought about trying goulash, it is not to every ones taste, it can be too rich for some tastes
