Have to admit I found this one a bit of a struggle. The sky was not hugely interesting and for me wasn't a great sky/sunset. (very pleasant evening though and always surreal to see so many tripod snappers wandering about at the same time!!) Decided to start with the 30mm prime lens at f1.4 for some extreme DOF stuff.

Oh, almost forgot this classic shot. (32 part pano stitch with 7 step HDR all the way taken with the new Canon 6DIII (3000mm f1.0 double L lens) in full Auto mode!!! ;-))

Nice photos again Deemac and thanks for posting them.
I thought I might join a camera club but that photo of members with all there kit has scared me off a bit.:confused
I can see me rock up with my old Canon powershot A20 and all the members falling about laughing.
I went down to Freswick beech yesterday for a picnic and stayed for about 4 hours. I will download and see if I got any good pics.
Regards KM

Mmm,
I presume you meant the new 3 - 3000mm f1.0 double L zoom lens.
I am also very impressed with the way the new camera has managed to control the bounce of light off the heads of those of us that are follically challenged!

I like the idea of the first photograph, the B & W works well for me and the third has a well balanced exposure and good use of foreground.
As you say, not the best of sunset's but an enjoyable evening.

Will post a couple of photographs later on.

Did you have a model release for this pic?

My fav one has to be number two, great use of DOF!

@ North Light follically challenged, haha that made my day (not that I am though)

On the way back I saw another potential photograph which once framed didn't work, but this caught my eye.

No model release required Raven, these were the cardboard cutouts that I'd brought with me in case the sunset proved disappointing.;)

The sunset was not that great on Monday, so I tweaked it to my liking. I was just running in "Bunt" mode before :-))

@ Northlight,

number 1 it is for me! The beach is so much better these days as there are more stones out of the sand!

@ Deemac,

soso, cardboard cutouts :-) that explains a lot!

Some cracking photos here - the sunset looks lovely to me, but maybe that's down to photographic expertise making it look better than it was.

My favourites are Raven's 1st photo, North Lights 2nd and Deemac's B&W low angle shot.

Of equal interest, for completely different reasons is the group shot of club members. If a group of sheep is a flock what do you reckon is the collective term for photographers?

Perhaps a "panorama of photographers":D Any other suggestions?

Deemac, what would you suggest the "f" stands for?

Have a look at this web page: -
http://www.anapsid.org/beastly.html

Perhaps the name for a group of photographers should be different depending on the type of photography?

For example

Paparazzi - A intrusion.

Press - A pack

Fashion - A ostentation

Wedding - A pitying

War - A ambush

I'll leave you to play.

Surely this is a 'Development of Photographers'

I suppose that once the collection of photographers have started 'snapping' they then become a 'gallery of photographers'.

The photographs still exist even if not 'developed' to hang on your walls. It's a bit obtuse for this time of night.

Surely you're not suggesting a mass hanging of snappers?
