William FORBES, Kirkhill,Wick,1898

Having been guided to Kirkhill I thought progress would be simple. Not so. Having searched the Census of 1891 & 1901 I can find no trace of a William Forbes , born abt. 1876/8 at Kirkhill. The nearest I get is at Pultneytown.Has anyone any ideas as to progress for me. Bill.
