Spotted several pairs at Scrabster last week, they gave both us and the Skuas a right telling off!

I may be wrong lizz, but i think they may be juvinile common terns, although a quick look at the adults would clarify it one way or the other. Adult arctics have an all red bill whereas commons have that tell tale black tip. Having said that my book says that the juvinile actics have an all black bill, so it could be confusing lol but they are definitely juviniles.:D

Found this on the RSPB site , it's a juvenile Artic Tern the beak looks very similar to those in my pic.
Would n't life be simple if birds have their names written on them!

ah it sure would lol juviniles can be so confusing sometimes :lol:
