Wick Academy started their pre-season games today against a West Coast Select side. With work being done at the Harmsworth Park the game was played in Halkirk and Academy ran out 12 - 1 winners. Gary Farquhar scored a hat-trick and the other goals came from Martin Gunn (2), Richard Macadie (2), Stevie Cunningham (2), Gary Weir (1), Davie Cowie (1) and Greg Shearer (1).
Academy's next scheduled game is away to Elgin City on the 12th of July, and that is followed by another friendly against a Ross County XI at the Harmsworth Park on the 14th of July, Kick off 7:00pm.
