suggestions please?

suggestions of where to go and what to try and photograph please.

ok not too far away from thurso (cost of flipping fuel!) but somewhere on the east coast i can go play with my new toys after my shift later which finishes at 7pm please.
My new toys are 70-300mm lens also a spotting scope which i think equates to 1200mm-2500mm lens! i think i need to be out of this west wind here!

was thinking along the lines of maybe up to 150 mile round trip so the options on where to go are not really limited too much, it's more a case of where on the east coast is sheltered from this hooligan blowing here? local knowledge required please :D

used to get some nice piccy's of freswick bay when I was in Caithness, be nice to see some taken by something better than my 2 meg cheapy

Braemore the road is fantastic and when you get to the bridge and the river at the end, you will know why you made the trip.

This is at the limit of your miles, but have a look at The Black Isle, particulariy the coast boardering onto the Cromarty Firth and Cromarty itself.
