Here are a few images I took while on my first Thurso Camera Club Summer outing yesterday evening (12 May 2008). Also my first visit to Strathy Point Lighthouse. The sky/sunset was almost very good but just a little too hazy for a spectacular image to be had. Worth a re-visit I feel (I'll also remember to take the ND filters next time - Ooops!!) - Enjoy.

Same place ,same time ,different subject. My daughter thinks this looks like Mordor.

Deemac,

Some great shots, particularly like no's 1 and 3, the composition of number 3 making it the ultimate winner for me.

grumpyhippo,

I can see why your daughter thinks it looks like Mordor, great textures in the rock.

Fabulous photos everyone.

I took this sunset photo many years ago from a spot about 10 minutes walk west of the Lighthouse.

The short walk is well worth it.
