If this is the Hector who married Margaret Reid 1817. - Then all I show on his parents is marrying 2 Jul 1795 Latheron.

Yes, this is the Hector Sutherland that married Margaret Reid in 1817.
I am having difficulty tracing his birth. On his death certificate he was noted as being born in Latheron, Caithness, and his parents are named as John Sutherland and Catherine Miller. I have notes of a number of children born to a John Sutherland and Catherine Miller in Latheron and later in Wick, but no mention of a Hector Sutherland.
