can anyone tell me if wick has one? ive been looking but cant find one. and does anybody know of the local historians here.

I would have thought the Wick heritage centre down by the harbour would be able to give you that sort of information. Give them a try. :D

Ditto. The Heritage Centre should be your first call. It's staffed by enthusiastic people who give up their spare time and are generally very knowledgable.

They can point you towards any of the local historians or areas for further research if they don't have what you're looking for.

There used to be a history group that met at the North Highland Archive based in Wick Library.
Why not phone them and ask if the group is still meeting there. Contact details at http://www.caithness.org/community/museums/nha/index.htm
