Just wonered if there is an age limit to buying red bull, a friend of mines daughter of 21 :lol: was asked for proof of age to buy it in Stonehaven recently??

fairly sure due to the cafine content the age is 16 and over.

Redbull has no age restriction.[lol] Not advisable to let kiddies drink it though.

I'm not sure if there is a legal requirement, but I know I was asked for proof once. I thought they were joking - I'd been working in a bar for 3 years :lol:

I looked into this a few months ago as i was concerned about my son who is 14 buying this in large quantities. Unfortunately it is not an age restricted product along with other 'energy' drinks. There is no legal requirement for a retailer to ask for proof of age, it depends on company policy.

There is no legal age limit to buy Red Bull, however, some supermarkets will include a rule in their policy which does not allow anyone under 16 to buy Red Bull. It is not recommended anyone under the age of 16 or people who are sensitive to caffeine buy this product.
