It means you've probably put in the SIM card PIN in wrongly too many times and it has blocked access. Call your SIM card provider and they should give you the PUK code to unlock it.

I have a funny feeling they won't give you the PUK code without you physically phoning them (at least that was the case when I last needed one).

You will be able to use the card again if all it needs is a PUK code.

You will probably have to switch it off and on again or wait for a period of time before it allows you to enter anything. O2 will give you instructions on what to do if you call them.

If the PUK code has been incorrectly entered 10 times then the phone is permanently blocked.
