I have a friend (who isn't online) that is very interested in WWII aircraft crash sites. He and some mates (they are retired! not hooligans) are currently researching a mid air collision near where they live in East Yorkshire, but as he has been up here visiting us and Dunnet Head and we traced a photo in a book he has to the cemetary in Dunnet, when we were on the phone tonight I said i would ask the question as to if anyone knows of any crashed WWII aircraft remains around here :)
If you do and don't want to post on the board, feel free to PM or email me anytime.
Must admit I find what he is doing quite interesting too :)

The most famous air crash up here must be Eagles Rock where HRH The Duke of Kent Died
http://www.rafoban.co.uk/page9.htm will give you some info. Not much remains of the plane left but there is a memorial
