Weird lights in my car

I was driving home last night through the town when a wee thing with four wee lights flitted up and down in the space between the steering wheel and the windshield, it was moving quite fast and then was gone, it caught my eye and I had time to focus on it and then it disappeared, it had an orangey coloured light in each corner, I kept going and then it happened again as I was driving along bridge street!

I know this sounds totally bizarre but I did see it and I was totally compas mentas at the time!
