Had a lovely email this afternoon via my website asking for some information. I have copied and pasted the appropriate bit and hopefully someone will tell us if Scrabster has it's own legends ;)
I was a member of the party from Stenhousemuir on the MV Karen last weekend. This was my first time back in Scrabster since a family holiday there in 1974. As a 12 year old I remember cycling from the campsite across the bay to the pier at Scrabster with the hope of catching Geordie the Congor (locals had told me of a giant congor that frequented the harbour area). This memory has stayed with me ever since and I would love to know if the story was based on fact or is it Scrabster's 'Nessie'. It would be great to hear more about this from locals or visitors alike.
