broadband test

have just done a broadband speedtest ,this was the result

does anyone know if should the upload speed be faster..we are supposed to get 8mb download speed and understand that phone line length and distances between exchanges distances have a bearing on what you actually get.so i would have thought that the upload speed would be higher..
os is vista home basic,pc has 3ghz proccessor with 512mb ram.....

Mmm! Things are looking better. And all the way from Dublin too. My,my, the technology these days is amazing!
Can't really say they're looking "up" though.

Use the Maidenhead server, not the Dublin one. You'll get faster speeds reported back.

Edit: Unless of course your recommended server is Dublin. I suppose the recommended server is based on your ISP. Meh, I should think these things through more... :D

Depends on your ISP and the package you subscribe to. Generally for household contracts (not business) it's 448kbps.

London wins although Dublin is the recommended one! Maidenhead not at the races. BT declare exchange capable of 6.5 (although as like all the rest they sell/advertise on the promise of up to 8mg) Operating at the almost the best available. Happy chappy!
