...Scotland's war memorials seldom fail to impress me.
Remembrance isn't just for November.
On a 2006 road trip up there I visited a few of them. I've put a short up.....'Local Heroes' with due respect to Airmen and sailors too.

I need to know if I've got my mountains mixed up - is that Ben Loyal I see as I drive into Tongue - or Ben Hope?

That's a fantastic photograph and a wonderful memorial...
thanks for the kind comments...only when re-watching the vid did I notice the unintended irony on the windscreen wiper.

Another interesting video, thanks, Percy. Grumpyhippo, that's a lovely photo of the war memorial at Sir John's Square, Thurso. I don't remember it being illuminated at night when I lived there, but nice to see it that way now. :)
