Whats the differance..if any???

My kids want a mp3 or ipod for xmas don't know much about either would be grateful for any info on the pros or cons(if any)of both.Thanks

An ipod is an mp3 player, i think your kids are just confused, there are many mp3 players on the market and the ipod just happens to be the most well know of them, but it's certainly not the best player or best value for money.

Well they both do the the same thing ipod can hold a lot more mp3 player but u have to watch the ipod because the mp3 u download from are copyrighted to the ipod system so if u buy mp3 from there websites u cant take it off and use it in a different player were as an mp3 player doesnt have any of that problems.Ipods makers are looking after there own interest and not the customers.So i cant see the point of paying for downloading legal mp3 tracks for it to be only used on ipods if u buy download mp3 u should be able to use when u want on what ever gadget or player u have.
