Last Saturday I went for a drive through the Scottish Borders. A driech day, I passed many a tree, hill and glen when bang! - out out of the blue came a little slice of Tibet. I could barely believe my eyes as I gazed upon the entrance to the Samye Ling Buddhist Monastery. You'd never think you were in Scotland. There's lots to see and do here - check the link below - so if you're ever seeking peace of mind, take my advice and head down to the Borders. You won't regret it.

It sounds great. It's a pity we don't have a retreat like this up here. I would love to spend some time there, but it is too far away for me.

Well, make a date with it sometime. Truly one of the most magical and spellbinding places you'll (never) see listed in Places To See in Scotland.
