Long Exposures - Let's get arty!!

Just wondered if anyone had played with their camera with a long exposure and deliberately thrown the camera about!! You can get some interesting results (I started with christmas tree lights by mistake one day).

they are pretty good deemac, I have a few like that but only because i tried to take pictures from a moving car lol:roll:

How do i know if I have that feature on my camera, does it have a letter to signify it on my dial. I have the letters M,A,S,P on mine?? Can't be bothered digging the manual out, its too heavy :P

Try using ISO100 in a low lighting situation (normally ISO100 would be for a bright daylight shot). You want the shutter to stay open for about 1/3 to 1 second. The rest is how fast you move the camera about etc (lots of trial and error) It can be very it or miss and strong lights in a dark setting help.
