Williams father Alexander married Isabella Doull on the 17th Dec 1824 at Latheron.

Hello Thomas,
I was very excited to read your search on the message board. I have only just started to explore my family name in Wick and straight away have a feeling I may have struck lucky! I am searching my grandfathers line. He was Alexander Farquhar Farmer, born in Wick and moved to East London Docks area, where he died aged about 36. He had several children. My mother rembered her cousins from Wick visiting them in London, I suppose this was back in the 1920's. I know this is not a verified link but from what you know, could this possibly be the same line?

all farmers from wick related, I have several Alex's one in particular married Catherine Farquhar he died in Preston 1941, another Alex born 1/1/1898 his mother was also Farquhar.
