There,s an item in the Daily Record today about life in the the gorbals.
Have-ing worked with many Glasgow people on jobs throughout Scotland I have always find their wit & sense of humour amazing. The article in the newspaper is well worth a read as its very amusing & promotes a book ,The Real Gorbals , which can be purchased at
www.efcbookshop.com (http://forum.caithness.org/go.php?url=http://www.efcbookshop.com) Reckon this book will be a great read ,Anyway mine is already winging it,s way toward ,s me

I know the Gorbals well, although its changed so much, as has my birth town.
My mother and her side are all from the gorbals, and my fathers side all from the east end of Glasgow.

Some of the most down to earth and dependable people on the planet. As an east end kid we where not expected to strive to far coming from a poverty stricken part of the UK, but most of the people i went to school with in Easterhouse went on like myself to Uni, and onwards, running companies etc.

The place doesnt make you, the people and aspiration to enjoy life does. Im looking forward to reading the book.

Glasgow will never be the same 'till they bring back the trams.
