Jean Sinclair/James McBeath

I am trying to find the marriage and births of this couple. They had a son John ,born 1766 in Wick(he married Elizabeth Sinclair). I am at a dead end with them. Do this couple sound familiar to any ones ancestors? Their grandson James migrated to Australia after his marriage to Anne (Gordina) Innes in 1832.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
