I think you can do it online here:-

http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/ctps/number_type.html

The other contact details are here, including the registration line

You can also register via BT (BT Privacy at Home) and get Caller Line Display free as long as you make a (small) minimum number of calls and are a BT customer. You need a compatible phone for the CLD, but its magic to see who is calling before you answer.

Rather than trying to paste a massive web link, got to:

http://www.bt.com/ (http://forum.caithness.org/go.php?url=http://www.bt.com/)

Click "At Home"
Then "Home Phone Services"
Then "Free Features"
Then "BT Privacy at Home"

All assuming you have (or will) register with BT to be able to manage your calling features online.

I just tried to register with TPS but it says my number is already registered, I have the BT Privacy thingy as well so they must of passed my details on to TPS, it's the only explanation as I've just had my phone number for 4 months.
