cd re-writing?

Can anyone help me, I know not much about computers, but I want to put some photo's on cd disc and some documents onto cd as well. The only thing is I can't, my computer won't let me. Do I need a programme or something I don't know. HELP, PLEASE!!!!!:confused

Can you confirm firstly that you have a CD-RW or DVD-RW drive in your PC? Then can you tell us your operating system (Windows version or other), and finally if you have any programs in your Start menu (assuming you have Windows) which mention CD writing, copying, or burning.
