I was pleased to get a serise of feeding shots. My wife buys Roger his own loafs of bread every week - he like 'whole wheat' apparantly.... and all I get is a dry crust!

Nice pics.. all young animals/ birds should have a chance...OK I knows there's 'em as what consider seagulls a pest but they have the same right to share the planet as we do.

I should have said that the 4 photos are a serise where the 'chick' gets the parent to cough-up some food - only this time it's wholemeal bread and not fish. I don't think that makes it any better.

Anyway, I was very pleased to get the photos. Only one seagull poop in the whole time Roger has been visiting our doorstep. Incidentally, if we don't notice that he (we assume Roger is a 'he') is waiting outside he comes and bangs on the outside door to the lounge until dinner is served.

Seagulls are fab. There is nothing nicer than being woken up in the morning by the cry of the gulls. Pigeons are vermin.

Since Roger has been a regular visitor, several more types of bird have also arrived. Unfortunately, nearly 5000 photos with this camera and I still have trouble getting the moving targets in focus, in enough light and in frame.

Aye I'm with you there, the adults are so beautiful in their pristine plumage and they are such caring parents. wil defend their young against all comers,
Shame that some humans don't have the same feeling fer they're offspring!

Great pics, psyberyeti!

I agree, Lizz, they really are stunning fellows when you get the chance to study them. We rarely see them out here in Halkirk, but one did appear on my windowsill one night, trying to pinch some pear I had put out for the blackbird. Seeing him so close, you can really see how clean & smart they are. :)
