I am a part of many sums
Calculated since the maths began

I am part of the e in e=mc2
I have an interest in the a2=b2+c2

I was an addition, brought about by multiplication
My time is spent divided between others

I am a hypotenuse, connecting points
My angles define my existence

The area I cover is but a tiny universal segment
Yet my existence is a cosmological truth

The volume I fill will not be filled by others
And yet I exist because of others' shared volumes

In time I may increase, gain some mass
And share time and space with another
Our multiplication giving rise to additions
Filling volumes with mass of their own

And at my end, I will give all back to the great calculator
One final subtraction all that is required

I am a part of many sums
The sum of my parts will return to zero

Like computer stuff eh? zeros and ones.

I appreciate the work you put into yours. Well done.
